
Role Overview
This is a workshop-based position focused on the inspection, overhaul, and testing of industrial drive systems. The work directly supports critical infrastructure such as container terminals, production facilities, and water management systems.
Candidates will work on a variety of rotating equipment, where precision, quality, and reliability are essential.
Recruitment note: Candidates with basic electrical exposure are a strong advantage, especially where there is experience with motor connections, testing, or fault finding.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspecting and fault-finding on electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and drive systems
• Dismantling, overhauling, and reassembling mechanical components
• Replacing bearings, seals, and other wear parts
• Performing alignment and balancing of rotating equipment
• Testing repaired units to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Reporting on findings and completed work
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Qualified Fitter & Turner / Millwright / Mechanical Technician
• Strong experience in mechanical maintenance and rotating equipment
• Proven ability to work on motors, gearboxes, and pumps
• Experience within a workshop or overhaul environment
• Works in a structured, clean, and safety-conscious manner
• Team player with a hands-on mentality
Nice to Have
• Basic electrical knowledge, such as motor connections, fault finding, or testing
• Experience with test benches or diagnostic equipment
• Background in industrial sectors such as mining, manufacturing, ports, or heavy industry
Additional Requirements
• Willingness to work in standby or on-call rotations
• Strong focus on quality, precision, and safe working practices
• This is a hands-on technical role and not a supervisory position
